A new, highly evasive attack technique dubbed "Cookie Bite" allows cybercriminals to hijack Microsoft 365 user sessions without ever needing passwords — all by stealing session cookies used by Azure Entra ID. Developed as a proof-of-concept by Varonis Threat Labs, this attack shows just how vulnerable cloud access can be, even with MFA enabled. 🔍 What Is the Cookie Bite Attack? The attack exploits two key cookies that Microsoft uses to manage user sessions: * ESTSAUTH: A temporary session cookie that keeps you logged in during a browser session. * ESTSAUTHPERSISTENT: A long-term cookie that survives browser reboots, keeping a user signed in.
