ANHere's a detailed guide on how to pass FCPS Part 1 in 1st attempt.
✅ *Step 1: Start with First Aid USMLE*
- Begin with First Aid USMLE and go through systems one by one
- Use Rafiullah or Double A alongside First Aid (Personally, I used Rafiullah for simplified understanding and time saving)
- Try both books and choose what works best for you. Do points from these books right after completing a system from first aid.
✅ *Step 2: Cover Major Systems*
- Complete major systems from First Aid + Rafiullah/Double A
- Focus on understanding concepts, not just memorizing
- Take notes on important topics and MCQs
✅ *Step 3: Move to Miners*
- Use authentic books for miners if time permits
- Alternatively, use summarized notws, Rafiullah, or short books like Fast Aid
- Utilize notes and past papers for miners preparation as much as possible.
✅ *Step 4: SK Series is Key*
- Start SK series 1-2 months before exam
- Combine theory knowledge with SK MCQs to consolidate concepts. Start from the most recent one.
- Doing only past papers or only theory will never be enough. You have to combine them both.
- Even if past papers are not repeated, it gives you a guide to solve new questions and make you identify what the examiner wants to ask you.
✅ *Step 5: Revision is Crucial*
- Revise topics CPSP repeatedly asks
- Focus on high-yield topics, don't dive too deep
- Use past papers and SK MCQs for revision
- Revise regularly because there is a lot of cramming too.
✅ *Specialty-Specific Tips*
- Medicine and Allied: less extra work needed
- Surgery/Radiology: prepare anatomy in more detail compared to Medicine Allied
💡 Tips:
- Combine theory and past papers/SK MCQs for best results
- Identify and focus on CPSP-repeated topics
- Regular revision is key to success in FCPS Part 1
- Dont waste any time. Be devoted. Take care of your health. Control your nerves.
