Being coachable is critical. Being coachable is critical because it accelerates personal and professional growth by turning feedback into actionable improvement, preventing performance plateaus, and fostering resilience. Coachability is simply a desire to be better and a willingness to change. But while the definition seems pretty simple, implementation is often more difficult. The truth is that we all start out being coachable. It was your coachability that allowed you to grow and learn and improve when you were younger — whether in athletics, or in school, or in society. But we don’t always STAY COACHABLE. I was recently working with several agents. I helped them redo their business plan recently. I helped them lay out their daily and weekly systems and targets. I encouraged them to follow a schedule. Every time they didn’t, I provided quick feedback so they don’t get too far off the course. They wouldn’t listen. Their business then tanked. They weren’t willing to take feedback and be coachable. Their bank account reflects it. At some point many people become complacent. They get comfortable. And that leads to a plateau of performance. If you are going through change in your personal or professional life… or will be in the future… then being coachable is absolutely vital for your continued success. 📝 If you’re a realtor doing 8-12 transactions a year and your willing to be coachable and take feedback, comment “commitment” down below and I’ll dm you about my coaching program and or brokerage team.
