If you’ve been following me, you know I never stopped talking about God and I never stopped giving him the glory. In just 4 months in this space to hit my first million. I’ve walked through some of the hardest valleys. Within standing flat-footed in the midst of a season of refinement, I began to become overwhelmed with the circumstances of what God has purposefully orchestrated within my path to cultivate the attributes of the woman He has called me to be. I began to become overwhelmingly depleted. Within my depletion, I felt my spirit losing in the battle against the spiritual warfare that was sent by the enemy to consume me and I began to wallow in my feelings vs leaning into the totality of my faith in knowing that God makes no mistakes; therefore, He made no mistake in placing this season of refinement within my pursuit to what He has promised me. As I began to struggle immensely within the presence of spiritual warfare, I quite literally felt a physical tug on my entire being; on my heart, on my mind, on my spirit. I physically felt Him chasing after me. I felt Him relentlessly chasing after His daughter. Within my struggle to persevere in the midst of this spiritual warfare, I felt shame, as if I was failing Him. I could feel the enemy condemning me and attempting to convince me to turn my face from my Heavenly Father in shame vs running to Him in need of His strength. At this very moment, God instantly brought me to the story of Mary Magdalene; He asked me to recall when Mary was triggered by shame and guilt and she ran back to the familiarity of her past life. She ran back to the circumstances of her life before she was called by Jesus. In the midst of her running, Jesus sent for her. Despite what she ran back to out of shame, guilt and unforgiveness to lost battles, He just wanted her back home. He just wanted His daughter back in His presence. Despite your attempt to escape Him out of shame, guilt and unforgiveness unto yourself, you will never be able to. God will always send for His children. He will always come chasing after you.
