CAFish Fillet series: Episode six- Creamy fish fillet
Heey guys, welcome episode 6 of my fish fillet series. Today we’re making this creamy saucy fish. This was really good and paired perfectly with some plain white rice. You have to give it a try.
You’ll need:
Fish fillet(I prefer tilapia but really any works)
Black pepper
Lemons
Fresh garlic
Fresh dhania(corriander)
Onions
Chilli flakes (optional)
Cream (you can use cooking cream or coconut cream) If you don’t have either get some normal plain milk and mix it with a tablespoon of all-purpose flour and use that instead
-Start by cleaning your fish and patting it dry
-Season with salt,black pepper and fresh lemon juice then added some oil
-Leave it to marinate, I marinated mine for 30 minutes, you can do longer
-Heat up your pan and pan fry your fish on both sides till nice and golden brown. The cook time depends on how thick your fillets are
-Once cooled through set aside
-In the same pan add in some oil or butter
-Fry your onions and garlic till fragrant and slightly browned (Please dont burn them🥲)
-Go in with some black pepper, a seasoning cube and the juice of one lemon followed by your cooking cream/coconut cream/milk+flour mixture
-Mix and let it simmer till thickened
-Add in your chilli flakes and mix again
-Add your fish and gently coat with the sauce being very careful not to break the fish
-Finish it off with some fresh dhania leaves you can use parsley instead of that’s what you prefer
-Serve your fish with a side of your choice I went with plain white rice
-Enjoy 🤗😮💨
