AM✈️ SEND to someone who knows this pain 😭
follow @amanda.exploring for more inspo! And to learn to fly like this for a fraction of the retail cost 👀
whether I’m in Emirates first class or economy on a budget airline, flying is still an immense privilege! But flying in premium cabins sure is niceeee and when you can pay a small fraction of the retail cost…why not?!
How to fly Emirates first class for LESS ⬇️
1️⃣ BOOK ON EMIRATES: Search for availability on the Emirates website and book with your Skywards miles BUT you’ll now need Silver, Gold, or Platinum elite status!
To secure status for a year, you can open one of the Emirates credit cards. After that, you’ll have to earn status with spend.
2️⃣ UPGRADE: Emirates allows upgrades on tickets booked with cash or miles by one class of service. You can upgrade to business on an economy or premium econ ticket or upgrade to first class if you book a business class ticket. Note that you’ll need to book direct through Emirates to upgrade.
Tip: check the app for upgrade availability as sometimes you can upgrade even before arriving to the airport. Even on cash! For those first points upgrades, you’ll need your points transferred into Emirates and ready to go… it’s a bit of a gamble but can pay off big!
3️⃣ PARTNER AWARDS: book awards on Aeroplan or Qantas. Sometimes you can search for these awards on @seatsaero. Otherwise, the best way to search is directly on the Qantas website for availability. This is how I found 2 seats in Emirates F!
Have you flown in a premium cabin before?? What are your thoughts on your favorite?👇
