WIIn 2018, a New Jersey woman named Kate McClure ran out of gas late at night on a highway. A homeless veteran, Johnny Bobbitt Jr., saw her stranded and used his last $20 to buy her fuel so she could get home safely. He didn't ask for anything in return-he just wanted to make sure she wasn't in danger. Deeply moved, Kate and her partner started a fundraiser to help Johnny rebuild his life. The story went viral, and thousands of people donated. Although later events around the fundraiser became complicated, Johnny's original act remains a genuine moment of selfless kindness-a man with almost nothing giving the little he had to help a stranger in need.
