DRGot through a blizzard for this one. Worth every minute of it.
Tom and I made a donation to the American Heart Association to help fund something we both believe in deeply: a new clinical curriculum that is finally going to get OBGYNs and cardiologists speaking the same language when it comes to women’s health. Yesterday morning on The View, I got to announce it live, and talk about Ajenda for seven uninterrupted minutes on national television, which anyone who has worked in this business knows is basically an eternity.
I spent nearly two decades on television talking about medicine. I never take the platform for granted. But yesterday felt different, because this isn’t just information. It’s infrastructure. It’s changing what happens inside the exam room for women who deserve so much better than two specialists who have never compared notes on their care.
Heart disease is still the number one killer of women in this country. Yesterday felt like one small but meaningful step toward changing that.
This is what showing up in a blizzard is for.
