JUThere’s this quiet moment that happens in motherhood that no one really prepares you for.
One day they’re suddenly taller.
Deeper voice.
More independence.
More opinions about literally everything.
And in their mind… they’re growing up so fast.
But in yours?
You still see the tiny fingers that wrapped around yours.
The sleepy car rides.
The way they used to reach for you without thinking.
My son is 12 now.
And I know he thinks I see this big, capable almost-teen standing in front of me…
…but part of me will always see the baby I brought home.
Not because I don’t honor who he’s becoming, I am in awe of the young man unfolding right in front of me.
But because a mother’s heart doesn’t replace versions.
It holds them all at once.
The newborn.
The toddler.
The little boy.
And now… the almost teenager who’s finding his own way.
If you know, you know. 🥹✨
Tell me how old is your baby now (even if they’re not a baby anymore)? 💛
