NAWhen I look at an HTMA, there are three ratios that immediately show me someone is in a burnout pattern, often long before they ever say they feel burned out.
Here’s what this pattern means:
➡ Ca/P – Elevated
This ratio reflects the nervous system, cellular energy, and how well the body is utilizing protein.
When Ca/P climbs, it tells me the system is overwhelmed, energy production is slowing, and the body has shifted into a more defensive, withdrawn state.
This is one of the earliest signs the nervous system has been running in overdrive for too long.
➡ Ca/K – Elevated
Often called the “thyroid ratio,” but really it’s about cellular metabolism and stress load.
A high Ca/K shows the body has downshifted to protect itself — a slowed metabolic rate that happens when chronic stress, under-recovery, or inflammation have been present for a while.
➡ Na/Mg – Depleted
This ratio is one of the clearest indicators of adrenal stress and burnout.
When sodium drops relative to magnesium, the body is no longer operating from resilience…it’s operating from depletion.
People in this pattern often say they’re “fine” or “just tired,” but the minerals tell the truth.
When these three ratios show up together, it’s never about willpower.
It’s not “pushing harder.”
It’s physiology asking for support, safety, minerals, and nervous system regulation.
