HAHAMILTON ANTHOLOGY: Hamilton, 1988. A time when the North End ran on a different kind of clock. To some, it was just the “City of Steel,” but to those who lived it, there was an order to the streets that didn’t need to be written down.
The neighborhood was tight, the roots went deep, and everyone knew where the lines were drawn. It was a gritty era, for sure, but there was a respect for the “old school” way of doing things that kept the North End feeling like its own world.

LILincoln Alexander Day always makes me smile, like Canada’s first Black Member of Parliament, Cabinet Minister, and Lieutenant-Governor always did when I was a #HamOnt reporter. I regularly sought his wise reflections while enjoying his affable character. He may have left this earth in 2012, but he will never leave Hamilton's proud memory.
