EV15 years ago this month, we ate our dog food. Every day. For the entire month of March.
At the time, the fresh, gently cooked category was barely known and “human-grade” was not a common standard. We were a tiny company talking about sourcing and ingredient integrity in a space that was not used to those conversations.
We did it because we were tired of watching the pet food industry hide behind marketing words. If we were going to say “human-grade,” we wanted to mean it. Not just as a claim, but as a standard we were personally willing to stand behind.
So we committed to eating one full meal of Evermore every single day for 30 days. We live streamed it. We answered questions. We let people watch us stand behind our sourcing in real time.
Evermore Me was never about claiming our food is “for humans.” It was about integrity. Transparency. Building a company we could look at every single day and say: yes, we stand behind this.
So today we’re kicking off Evermore Me month by revisiting the moment @cnn showed up and took it national.
Would you eat your dog’s food?
Be honest. 👀
