Am I the only one? Who feels the same every time that you need to talk about your achievement? — The uncomfortable feeling of talking about yourself…. Am I the only one? Who feels the same every time that you need to talk about your achievement? 🙋🏻‍♀️ It’s ingrained in us to be humble, discreet and not bragging about us (OMG what people is going to think about you? 🫢) But this is the thing you are not “bragging if it’s based on facts” something that I learnt a few years ago in a #iamremarkable workshop I never forget. So next time you are having this uncomfortable feeling of saying I DID ______ (add the rest of the sentences) remember this make sure you are backing up your claim with facts and show your true value and you will never feel that you are bragging anymore. Led by @dr.ayshaalbusmait at @nci.uae the session emphasized the importance of celebrating achievements, big and small, in our professional and personal lives. You need to embrace your accomplishments: - In your professional career - In your personal journey - In your community involvement If you don't highlight your achievements, who will know about them? In this week's session with @dr.ayshaalbusmait Ayesha, supported by @google , we explored strategies to boost confidence and effectively engage in self-promotion.What are you proud of? In what ways are you excellent? @dr.ayshaalbusmait highlighted the importance of self-promotion in our careers and led us in reflecting on our own limiting beliefs around self-promotion. While promoting oneself in the workplace may feel like not being "humble," it's crucial to identify your top 2-3 professional accomplishments and skills and be ready to speak about them in a way that does not minimize your achievements. How will your boss or interviewer know what you have achieved if you don't tell them?
