Galerie Myrtis is featuring new prints from master printmaker Delita Martin at the IFPDA Print Fair, Booth #219. The artist portrays Black women as magical beings with the power to transcend their skin and flourish in their spiritual form. Through weaving and storytelling, Martin offers narratives on the duality of women through bold textures, symbolism,and layered print techniques. During the fair, Martin is featuring prints alongside artists Lavett Ballard, Sam Gilliam (1933 - 2022), Susan Goldman, Michael Gross, Ya La’Ford, and Nelson Stevens (1938-2022) of AfriCOBRA. Go to the IFPDA’s site to purchase tickets for thefair! “My latest body of work centers on breaking down the conventional boundaries that define the waking world from the spirit realm. Through the layering of mediums including printmaking, painting, drawing, I aim to visually represent the harmonious coexistence of these dimensions.
