Have you experienced any of these?   🚫Using AI for answers🚫 Whilst AI can be helpful at times, it can also be incorrect or not give you all the information you’re looking for. AI relies on you rote learning the content, rather than understanding what is actually happening and being able to correlate that information to different situations. 🚫Showing up unprepared for a flight🚫 Learning to fly is expensive and safety critical, if you’re trying to remember all the theory in the air as well as fly the plane you won’t have the capacity to take in as much information which will lead to longer, more expensive training. 🚫Challenging the Instructor when they fail you on a flight🚫 Blatantly arguing or challenging the decision with your instructor is not ok. Aviation is a safety critical industry and things can go wrong very quickly. As an Instructor it is our job to check that you’re 100% safe and competent before passing you, because if we let you slide through knowing you weren’t ready and then something goes wrong, we’ve put you and potentially others in serious danger, and our own integrity is on the line. 🚫Arrogance🚫 Acting like you know everything and are above everyone else will not get you far in this industry. No pilot is perfect or knows everything, and one pilot isn’t inherently better than every other pilot. Having an arrogant attitude shows that you think you’re immune to making mistakes. Arrogance also leads to complacency which can be detrimental if something were to go wrong. 🚫Students who want to get by doing the bare minimum and being at minimum acceptable standard🚫 Just because you’ve completed all the flights in the syllabus does not mean you meet the required competency standard for solo or the level of licence you are trying to obtain. Minimum standard at licence issue often means skills will diminish quickly to below standard which is unsafe for yourself, your passengers, and others sharing the skies. #flightinstructor #pilot #studentpilot #aviation #womeninstem
