•ALLERGY GUT HEALING• We’ve been on a gut healing journey for our son, Mr2 (and a half), for over 18 months since he became anaphylactic to peanut butter at six months. At 12 months, he was diagnosed with Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS), High Histamine Intolerance, and severe food allergies. By 15 months, he began a tailored Ancestral gut healing diet aimed at reducing inflammation, stabilizing mast cells, and promoting gut health, with guidance from our Nutritionist, @mypropernutrition_ Environmental Factors: We focused on minimizing environmental triggers: - 100% cotton clothing, bedding, and plush toys - Filtered drinking and bath water - Using vinegar and water for cleaning - Homemade washing powder - Ensuring close contacts avoid makeup and chemicals Understanding MCAS and Histamine Intolerance: - MCAS: Inappropriate mast cell activation causing symptoms like hives and gastrointestinal issues. - Histamine Intolerance: An imbalance between histamine intake and the body’s breakdown capacity, leading to similar symptoms. Diet Overview: This tailored diet incorporates elements of GAPS, Weston A Price, AIP, and Carnivore, divided into stages: 1. Introduction Diet: Gradually reintroduces foods while monitoring symptoms, starting with easy-to-digest options like homemade bone stock and well-cooked vegetables. (This phase took Mr2 around 10-12 months.) 2. Full Diet: Once symptoms clear, other foods are gradually tested and added, focusing on nutrient-dense options. End Goal: To achieve a broad whole foods diet. Do your children have food allergies? I’d love to hear your journey in the comments! Sending love and strength to you all! ⚠️ Disclaimer: I am no health expert; my posts are based on our experiences and what has worked for us. #allergies #anaphylactic #mcas #gapsdiet #foodallergies

Learning lessons with my health. I have high pain intolerance but this time I listened to my body & I got the bacteria 🦠 & a virus under control. I had no idea the bacteria was attacking me again. Thanks to the FLU A+ and after a blood test they saw that my white blood cells were at 23.000. Maximum is 10.000.😱 Listen to your body. It is actually very wise. 🙌🏼🙏 When I was younger I didn’t know better & it cost me two hip surgeries to remove the pus from my hip. #reels #fyp #relatable #listentoyourbody

When your brain is doing parkour around the house but you swear you’re “just tired.” 😅 Low-key? Histamine can hype your nervous system the same way ADHD does - messing with focus, mood, energy, everything. 🌸 Curious how histamine affects your brain? Unpopular opinion: you don’t still have histamine intolerance because you can’t figure out what food you’re reacting to. A lot of people stay stuck because they’re doing things in the wrong order and they’re following advice for the masses 🙈 The mistake I see all the time 👇 You jump straight to “detox” or traditional liver support because they’ve been told: histamine = liver problem. But if your histamine system is already on high alert, a lot of “common recommendations” can make you WORSE because Bile flow is sluggish, digestion is weak, elimination is inconsistent, or your nervous system is in fight-or-flight… you’re trying to “support detox” without strong clearance. That’s when symptoms get louder 😫 flushing, itching, anxiety, insomnia, reflux, nausea, headaches, food reactions. What to do instead (the order that works): 1) Stabilize histamine first This is key to ensuring you are ready to start detoxing 2) Then prioritize bile (before traditional “liver support”) Bile is a major exit route. If it isn’t moving and you’re not eliminating well, pushing detox can backfire. 3) Then calm the gut + improve digestion If the gut lining is irritated or you’re under-digesting, your histamine baseline stays high even on a “perfect” diet. 4) Then identify your main driver Pick the lane first: • Gut-driven: bloating, reflux, irregular stools, food sits heavy OR • Mold/toxin-driven: exposure history, air triggers, symptoms that don’t match food One BIG detail most people miss: If you have PMS or PMDD, be careful with quercetin. I often see this overlap with slower COMT patterns, and quercetin can worsen mood symptoms or feel too stimulating for some. In those cases, I more often start with perilla or skullcap instead. You’re not “too sensitive.” You’re using the right tools at the wrong time — or the wrong tools for your pattern. 📣 Comment GUIDE For my free Histamine & Hormone Healing Guide 📣Comment WEBINAR For free access to my 4 Step Plan to Help You Reverse Histamine Intolerance #lowhistaminediet #histamineintolerance #lowhistamine #moldtoxicity

It’s wild how many people blame themselves for feeling “different” when the real issue is often internal - inflammation, stress responses, and histamine overload included. When your body is overwhelmed, your mind feels it too. And that’s no different for histamine issues - yes, there are physical symptoms, but histamine intolerance significantly impacts mental health as well. 🌸 Want clarity? Have you ever had someone ask if you could just “eat the fillings” of a sandwich or pie? Or confuse celiac disease with gluten intolerance? 😅 Honestly, I’m HAPPY for the gluten free people who can tolerate cross contact. 🤷‍♀️ But unfortunately for people with celiac (or ANY medical condition with sensitivity to cross contact), this “hack” would def not be safe — and would make most of us feel AWFUL for at least a few days too. 😅 And if you have gluten intolerance & still can’t handle *this* much cross contact, you def aren’t alone either! 🫶 I usually compare gluten cross contact to raw chicken (or poop LOL) and that helps. 🤣 How do you explain cross contact? Or what else rated to celiac / gluten free diet do you hope the public understands by the end of 2026? I’d love to hear 👇 🎥: original clip from Karsen Veasey on TikTok. It’s hard to ignore the growing number of health issues we’re facing today—gluten sensitivities, dairy intolerance, autoimmune conditions—and we’ve been told it’s just our bodies randomly attacking themselves. 🤔 But what if our bodies are actually doing exactly what they were designed to do?🫀 Maybe the real question is: Why are so many of us struggling with these issues now? This isn’t random. Learning about how our crops have been treated over the past century has been one of the most eye-opening things I’ve ever discovered. 🌾 It’s time to change the narrative. If you’re ready to move away from nutrient-depleted foods and want to stop waiting for the next sensitivity to pop up, there’s hope. You can make a change for your family’s health! 🥐🍞🥖 If you’re ready to ditch processed flour for good and start milling your own, drop ME in the comments, and I’ll send you my free Fresh Milled Flour Starter Guide to help you get started! • • • • • • • • • • #freshmilledflour #freshmilled #sourdougbread #ancestraldiet #fromscratchcooking

Do you have a lactose intolerance ? Most lactose free foods contain less than 0.01g of lactose. Most people with this intolerance can cope with 1-3g of it and be completely fine. And the good news is hard cheese like mature cheddar contains less than 1g! Normally around 0.1 per 100g. Basically, cheddar cheese could be ok for you :) #ibs #guthealth #health #nutrition #lowfodmap

If anybody is curious as to how we came to the 3g number being fine for most people with lactose intolerance it is based on a few things: - An understanding of the mechanisms for how lactose intolerance causes symptoms. - The research finding that people with lactose intolerance can typically tolerate a number noticeably above 3g (If interested, I’d encourage checking out PMID: 33887513 and following links from there). - Even though research finds a higher number often to be fine, we wanted to choose a low-ish number that almost everyone with lactose intolerance is fine with. - We’ve also worked with a LOT of people with lactose intolerance over the years. Of course there is individual variation in sensitivity. But the 3g number is also 30x more than the 0.1g in 20g of cheese. And if you made the argument that you have a LOT of cheese, that still falls apart when factoring in that other variables such as that much fat 1) Slowing digestion to the point it makes it easier for the body to break down the lactose 2) Is also a trigger for IBS symptoms in a lot of people, unrelated to lactose. If still getting symptoms from a meal containing a super low amount of lactose, it’s a far more likely explanation that another component apart from lactose has been the trigger. And it’s also worth noting that it is very common to have lactose intolerance AND other intolerances too.
