They offer incredible services like HIV/AIDS prevention, mental health support, substance use counseling, peer groups, and specialized programs for TGI communities—all free and delivered with heart 💪✨. Bienestar is hosting a group 🤝 session this Monday from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at their Manchester location (130 W Manchester Ave, Los Angeles), providing another vital space for connection and support. This past Saturday, October 25th, I had the honor of representing the Justice, Care and Opportunities Depa — ✨ Recap | LACAAEA 2025 Annual Conference ✨ This past Saturday, October 25th, I had the honor of representing the Justice, Care and Opportunities Department (JCOD) as the Justice Programs Director at the Los Angeles County African American Employees Association (LACAAEA) 2025 Annual Conference. I had the privilege of sharing the stage with incredible leaders from across the County — including Department Heads from the Department of Youth Development and several other newly established departments — during the panel discussion, “New Departments, New Opportunities to Serve.” During the discussion, I was able to share the background and evolution of JCOD, and highlight the transformative initiatives and programs we’ve developed to serve, heal, and empower justice-impacted individuals throughout Los Angeles County. A special thank you to our JCOD Executive Leadership Team for entrusting me to represent our department and contribute to this meaningful conversation.
