Nobody prepared me for that. I spent so long perfecting my personal statement, updating my CV, collecting the right experience, and then I got the role and realised that was just the door. Everything after that? That’s on you. The way you show up when no one’s watching. The preparation you do before meetings that no one asked for. The problems you solve before they become someone else’s emergency. The standards you hold yourself to when the job description runs out. That’s what builds a career. Not the paper. I’m not saying the CV doesn’t matter, it absolutely does. But I see so many early-career women put everything into getting the role and then coast once they’re in it. Or worse, they wait to be told what to do next. Your career isn’t something that happens to you. It’s something you build. Intentionally. At your desk. On an ordinary Friday. So the question isn’t “how do I get the job?” It’s “who am I becoming while I’m doing it?” Save this if you needed the reminder. And if you’re building your career on purpose, come find me, that’s exactly what we talk about here. #careeradvice #earlycareerwomen

Unpopular advice: if you suddenly hate your job… don’t quit. First ask: Is it the role? The manager? The culture? Or have you just outgrown it? Most women don’t need a dramatic escape. They need to get clear on what they want. Quitting from exhaustion leads to panic decisions. Having a quiet leaving strategy leads to better ones. The women who land well don’t explode. They prepare. No chaos. Just calm, intentional moves. 👉 Follow for strategic career advice for capable women who are good on paper but quietly done. #CareerChange #CareerAdvice #FindAJobILove

Don’t be fooled by too much fairytale ✨ Still, I would always make the same decision, because my WHY is stronger than my doubts. If you know what the stakes are and intentionally prepare yourself for that step, you will be fine 🫶🏻 My list of the most challenging parts of stepping back from my career? ⬇️ 1.) To “lose” my work identity - the one I held close 2.) The financial pressure of losing a director income 3.) The uncertainty of what is next 4.) The social expectations of the people around me 5.) My own expectations of finding something new that gives me joy and purpose Let’s connect if you wanna know more about this process 🤭 #careercrisis #millennialcareers #corporategirl #quitting9to5 #careerbreak

📣Especially women!! 👏🏼It’s not lack of talent. 👏🏼It’s not lack of work ethic. 👉🏼It’s waiting to be noticed instead of positioning yourself to be valued. Studies show women have a higher chance to sit back and wait then to ask for their promotion. 🤔 Hard work alone rarely gets rewarded in corporate environments. Visibility, advocacy, and intentional career moves do. The women who rise fastest are not always the most qualified. They are the ones who make their impact undeniable. Stop assuming your work speaks for itself. Start making sure the right people hear it. Your career climb should be intentional. Because growth rarely happens by accident.

Growing up were told a simple formula: Get a good job. Work hard. Success will follow. So many millennial women did exactly that. But now a lot of us are waking up from career autopilot and realising something important: Success on paper doesn’t always feel good in real life. And wanting more from your work doesn’t make you ungrateful. You dont need to resign tomorrow but take small steps to find a job you love. 👉 Follow @brighticoaching for career advice for women who are good on paper but quietly done.

Feeling stuck in a career you once loved? You are not alone - stats show job satisfaction dips hard around the 30s to 40s and especially for women. 🤭 Reasons?✨ YOU changed, but your job did not ➡️ A common trap is personal growth and outpacing your role. What once fit, now feels stagnant. Change has begun and it is not easy to navigate that feeling. 💃 Double standards for career women In my 30s, I started noticing how women like me face tougher judgment for chasing ambition, owning our family choices, or even setting boundaries at work - while we are also craving deeper fulfillment, living more mindfully, and realizing we can not have it all without it wrecking our health from constant juggling. To come to terms with this realisation, it took some time, internal growth and self compassion 🫶🏻 😨 What about the fear of starting over? “I have invested too much time” or “what if I fail and look foolish?” But here is the truth: This is anxiety talking, not reality!!Many people successfully pivot by framing it as a small experiment (like a side project) rather than an all-or-nothing leap, rebuilding confidence through tiny wins along the way. What is your next move? Let me know 📝 #careerchange #careerchoices #personalgrowth #changeofseasons #millennialcareers

Most people waste their first 90 days in a new job. 👇🏼 Comment PLAN and I’ll send you the exact 90-day structure I use. The first 90 days in a new job aren’t for “settling in”. They’re where your reputation is built. If you want to stand out early in your career, you need to be intentional: • understand what success actually looks like • secure a visible quick win • align your work to what drives performance • ask for feedback early This is the difference between blending in… and getting ahead. #careergrowth✨️ #careeradviceforwomen #careeradvancement #corporatelife #careeropportunities
