PE【🚗 PLUS Tests ANPR Toll System — 200,000 Users Have Downloaded JustGo!】
A new era of toll payments is rolling out on the PLUS Expressways Berhad highway network!
Following the pilot launch of its Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system in January, nearly 200,000 users have already downloaded and started using the JustGo app.
The trial is currently being carried out along the northern stretch from Hutan Kampung (Kedah) to Sungai Dua (Penang), covering nine toll plazas.
With the new “free lane choice” concept, registered vehicles can pass through any toll lane — no need to stick to specific payment lanes. The system automatically detects your vehicle plate number and deducts the toll directly from your selected payment method in the app. No extra devices. No installation fees. No registration charges.
The system was officially launched last week by the Ministry of Works, marking a step forward in smarter, smoother highway travel. Powered by AI and machine learning, the ANPR technology is designed to accurately recognise vehicles in various weather conditions, speeds and angles — improving traffic flow for motorists.
To use it, simply download the JustGo app and link your preferred payment method, including e-wallets, bank cards or Touch ‘n Go. Activation counters are also available at selected locations in Penang and Kedah, including Gurun and Juru R&R areas.
