MIHow to Properly Peel Mandarin Oranges
-
Consider this Part 1 of my kitchen tips&tricks series - I loooveee mandarins but hate the outer layer, and this makes them so much more juicy!
Ps: you can find pectic enzyme on Amazon, your local bulk store, or some grocers!
-
Preparation:
1. Peel the outer layer of your mandarins (or any citrus), then place the segments in an air tight container.
2. Submerge fully in water, and sprinkle in a bit of pectic enzyme. I usually use about 1/2tsp per litre - a little goes a long way! Close the lid then shake it to mix the enzyme in fully and set in the fridge.
3. After 24hrs in the fridge, rinse the oranges and enjoy!
