JODay 28 - I think it’s gonna be a long long time 🥲 I’ve reached the point in my recovery where progress starts to feel slow. My knee is improving quickly, the pain is fading, and things are starting to feel more natural again. But I’m limited by the meniscus repair. I want to do more, but I have to stay patient and respect the process.
These next few weeks are about refinement. Fully activating the quad. Gently strengthening the hamstring. Slowly and progressively transitioning toward full weight bearing. Right now I’m restricted to 50%, not because I’m incapable, but because healing takes time. This phase is about doing less, but doing everything better. Being present with every repetition. Rebuilding strength, control, and trust step by step.
It’s starting to sink in how long this journey really is. Months and months of consistent effort, with progress happening at a snail’s pace. This is the part that tests you. Showing up without immediate rewards. Staying disciplined when nothing feels dramatic. Trusting that the small, invisible steps are laying the foundation for something strong and resilient.
