What to look for
📌 Your cutting direction
Use slide and point cutting on extensions to ensure they will lay soft and diffused like natural hair. When layering and blending, always start from the natural length and blend down to avoid cutting your client’s actual hair.
📌 Connecting the layers
Work in vertical sections. Hold the section at a low elevation, drop her hair out and start to slide down the section from where her hair ends.
📌 Your shears
Avoid using standard scissors to cut hair extensions. To slide cut, point cut or detail, @andreahenty swears by @arcscissors Paragon II because of its thinner blade which makes detailing much easier and it gives you more control over the amount of hair you are taking out.
