Struggling with the L-Sit? I couldn’t even touch my toes when I started calisthenics. I know what it feels like to fight for this skills. So, if you’re trying to learn L-sit, these are the three exercises that. helped me the most: 1. Seated Compression Lifts Sit tall with your legs straight and lift them off the floor. Place hands next to your knees. This builds hip flexor and core compression, which is the limiting factor for most people. 2. L-sit Press-ups Hands on the floor or parallettes, legs bent or straight, and press your body up and down. This builds shoulder strength and teaches you how to actively push while holding tension. 3. Forward Fold Stretch Tight hamstrings make L-sit way harder than it needs to be. Improving your fold lets you keep your legs straight without fighting your own flexibility. Get stronger, improve compression, and work on mobility. The L-sit comes together pretty fast when you do all three. Want to accelerate your progress as a beginner?
