Don't get me wrong. There is a time and place for pharmaceuticals. They save liv — Make it make sense. Why are we so unquestioningly devoted to drugs? Don’t get me wrong. There is a time and place for pharmaceuticals. They save lives every day and I’m grateful they exist. But botanical medicine has the ability to transform lives. I’ve lived it. I’ve witnessed it. I’ve built my entire career around it. And yet the standard we apply to these two systems could not be more different. With pharmaceuticals we rarely question the process. We take the medication. If it doesn’t work, we adjust the dose. If side effects appear, we add another drug to manage them. Years can pass like this. But herbs? We blame them for everything. Someone takes a few capsules of low-quality herb dust for a few days, feels nothing, and suddenly the conclusion becomes: “Herbal medicine doesn’t work.” That was never herbal medicine. Herbal medicine requires the same things any medicine does: ⚡️Correct diagnosis. ⚡️The right formula. ⚡️Therapeutic dosing. ⚡️Enough time for the body to respond.
