TH1. Sit in silence for 10 minutes staring at a wall. It resets your brain like you’ve had a nap. (new cool term for this is concentration meditation.
2. Put your phone in another room when you need inspiration. Works better than any time-management app.
3. Drink a glass of water when you’re angry. Often you realize you were just hungry.
4. Wear “outdoor” clothes at home if you want to feel
human. Pajamas = amoeba mode. (but let’s be honest
December is pajama season, I don’t take mine off)
5. Pretend you’re filming a documentary about your life.
Everything starts to feel deeper, more beautiful, more meaningful. Turn on your main character energy.
6. Talk to yourself out loud like you’re your best friend.
Especially when self-criticism kicks in. It instantly gets easier.
(works every time 10/10 better than therapy or get a dog)
7. Write out all your fears until you’re tired of them. By page 3, half of them feel ridiculous. You can do the same with your thoughts (hardcore version) to see what is really happening inside your head. Don’t do it if you’re not ready.
8. Set a timer and allow yourself to whine for 15 minutes
- full drama mode. Then you get up... and it actually helps. Like literally - scream :) or cry.
9. Imagine yourself as a little child when you’re struggling. You’ll want to hug yourself, not push harder.
Be kind to yourselt.
10. Write letters to people you can’t let go of (but don’t send them). It cleanses deeper than therapy.
Sometimes the most absurd things turn out to be the most effective. I’ve tested these - and they work.
