I recently heard this idea discussed during an interview between Chris Williamson and Matthew McConaughey, and it hit hard. The truth is, we rarely understand what we’re going through in the moment. Meaning shows up later, when we look back and connect the dots.
The struggles, the detours, the failures, even the wins, they only make sense in hindsight. But life doesn’t pause while we figure it out. We still have to keep moving forward.
Sometimes the irony of life is that clarity arrives long after the decision was made.
