PIAbout 3,000 people marched today in Boorloo/Perth as part of the nationwide March for Forests 🌳
I felt really emotional seeing so many people show up to protect Australia’s forests and thinking about our endangered animals and black cockatoos that rely on the forests for their survival 💔
In WA, this means standing up for the jarrah forest and the wildlife at risk from bauxite mining.

FR📽️ | A massive protest was held at Azad Maidan in Mumbai as fishermen, Adivasis, youth groups and citizen activists came together to demand protection of mangroves, forests and coastal areas across Maharashtra.
👉Raising the slogan “Rise for Nature, March for Justice”, protesters voiced strong opposition to large infrastructure projects, including the Versova-Bhayandar Coastal Road, Wadhvan Port, Jindal Port, and other proposed developments.
👉Activists also raised concerns over mangrove destruction in areas like Charkop.

The admin’s goal for revising the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) plan is clear: maximize timber production at the expense of all other forest values. In other words, the Trump admin wants to catapult back to the days of clearcutting public forests and sacrificing species’ survival, habitat protections, and drinking water sources to achieve unsustainable harvest levels. We are so close to ending native forest logging in NSW. It's absurd that NSW Labor continues to destroy our precious public native forests which is hemorrhaging public money, driving extinction of some of the world's most beautiful and iconic animals and fueling the climate crisis. Labor know the writing is on the wall - but they won't move without our pressure, so let's TURN IT UP folks.
