This is a MAJOR game changer for divvying up the mental load of family life! I reached out to @skylightframe and they sent me a smart family calendar (thank you!!) so I could try it out before I recommended it to you. Let me just say, I wish they were around when my kids were all at home! Here’s how it helps with the mental load: ✅ Menu Planning - The menu is one tap away. No one has to ask “what’s for dinner” or wait for instruction on what to cook. ✅ Chore Chart -  Sit down with your partner and divvy up the chores. Put the entire family’s tasks in the digital chore chart and forget about them. Everyone has easy access to what they need to do for the day. ✅ Multiple Calendars - Have color coded calendars for each family member so everyone knows where each person needs to be. ✅ Lists - Keep track of your grocery list, to-do list, and any other list all in one place. Everyone in the house with a phone has access to the lists with the mobile app so they can add to them on the go. ✅ Email Importer - (This one is HUGE) Forward any email or PDF from school, work, church, etc, and it will convert it into events on the calendar. Not for a private dinner, meal prep, or catering Here’s why chefs don’t allow this: 1. Liability Even if YOU buy it, I’m the one held accountable if somebody gets sick. A chef has to control the cold chain, the storage temperature, the transportation, and the handling. And yes, many insurance companies require that the chef or catering company provide the food. If something goes wrong, the liability still falls on us. So no, I can’t cook whatever you just picked up. 2. Quality control Ingredients affect the entire dish from the freshness, brand, sourcing, cuts, quality, handling, all of it. If my name is attached to the food, I need to have control over the ingredients from start to finish. 3. It’s part of the labor Menu planning, sourcing, selecting, packing, transporting, THAT is much of the labor. It’s not just putting the food in the pan. You’re paying for the process, not just the plate. 4. Menu execution Chefs choose ingredients with intentionality. We consider things like flavor profile, fat content, cooking behavior, proper brands, specific cuts, etc. We don’t just grab whatever is available. Using the wrong products puts the dish and a chef’s reputation at risk. 5. Professional standards and consistency Private chefs are expected to deliver a consistent elevated experience every single time. If you don’t control the ingredients, you put all of that at risk. I gamble at the MGM, not with my reputation So my response is simple. “To maintain the quality and consistency my clients expect, I handle all ingredients personally. As pretty as it is delicious ✨ Ingredients For the Topping: - 2-3 ripe persimmons, sliced thinly - 3 tbsp brown sugar - 2 tbsp butter For the Cornbread: - 1 cup all-purpose flour - 1 cup cornmeal - 1/2 cup granulated sugar - 1/4 cup brown sugar - 1 tbsp baking powder - 1/4 tsp baking soda - 1/2 tsp salt - 2 large eggs - 1 cup milk (any milk type works) - 1/3 cup vegetable oil Steps 1. Prepare the Skillet and Topping: - Preheat the oven to 375°F - In an 8-inch cast iron skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat, swirling to coat the bottom evenly. - Sprinkle 3 tablespoons of brown sugar over the melted butter in an even layer. Arrange the persimmon slices in a single layer on top of the brown sugar. Set the - skillet aside. 2. Make the Cornbread Batter: - In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cornmeal, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. - In a separate bowl, beat the eggs, then add the milk and vegetable oil, stirring until combined. - Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently stir until just combined (avoid overmixing). 3. Bake the Cornbread: - Pour the batter over the persimmon layer in the cast iron skillet, spreading it evenly with a spatula. - Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. 4. Cool and Invert: - Let the cornbread cool in the skillet for about 10 minutes. - Carefully run a knife around the edges, place a plate on top of the skillet, and flip it over to release the cornbread with the persimmon topping facing up

A lovely mum I’ve been working with inside the Happy Belly Club shared, how, before she started working with me, she used to have those days, when nothing worked, and it always felt like everything was a struggle. Can you relate? She would often feel super disappointed, and a little voice used to creep into her head, telling her that she was doing everything wrong. She often felt defeated at the end of the day when she would try cutting out, so many foods from her child’s diet….and yet the meal that she spent hours preparing, still triggered diarrhoea or watery poops for her daughter💩 She explained that it was only when she understood the framework she needed to follow to stop those daily watery poops for her daughter, that their lives literally changed! ✅ no more stressing over what to feed their child or stressing over menu planning 🍱 ✅ No more planning every trip or journey around the availability of toilets 🚽 ✅ no more packing spare underwear in case of poop accidents 🩲 But it required TOUGH days, building the correct meal plan and addressing the root causes for the tummy troubles…. But she explained that she NEEDED to go through those feelings and emotions in order to come out the other end, now truly feeling amazing… that she could finally see her child happy 😊 This is my reminder to you today.
