GOLet me tell you a story that happened to me and @the_bass_guru at an event. @johnkitchenscoach looked at us and asked from stage: “you know you’re not a 🌳 u can move”. In that moment Duane and I looked at each other and decided we are officially moving to #florida. But 1st we need to figure out HOW we are going to make #money there. Since I had no #realestate license there nor Duane.
So we got to planning!
I switched to eXp in October of 2018. I told Duane give me 3 years I’ll work like a mad woman so we can build our #passiveincome to the point where we can afford not to have to work in FL and we can get Duane out of corporate America.
Here was my plan ⬇️⬇️⬇️
- remove myself from transactions and build a local team in #michigan I turned Gogo’s Real Estate into Gogo’s Real Estate Team. Took me 2.5 years to fully transition myself out of production. Now I have a team of 3 agents and they do all my transactions.
- then I said I’ll bring 100 agents to eXp. Calculating that if I can make $2,000 each per year that’s $200,000 a year. Assumed that they all have 2 friends in #realestate so that’s another 200 agents X $2000 = $400,000. So I had a plan. What I miss calculated is that my 100 actually has more like 13 friends each 😳😳 cause #teamgogo turned into 1400 agents.
- plan 3 was to buy real estate investment properties and Duane can manage those from anywhere.
- then building courses, cause I can build those from anywhere, run zooms from anywhere. And the money we make is passive.
So here we are! Duane has left his corporate America job October of 2019 and never looked back. Today he helps with the day to day operations of all this madness, and today he is my chauffeur to a speaking engagement I have in #orlando. We get to do #life together all day every day.
Also so many of #teamgogo agents were able to do the same @yasminrogersrealestate @katwestrealtor and retire their husbands.
