FLLet me tell you why 👇
The default view in MSFS is always on the left side. When I started flight simming on FSX at 10 years old, I just flew on the left because that was the default.
But when I got MSFS 2020 at 19, I asked myself why am I even flying on the left? Eventually I’m gonna start my career on the right as a First Officer. Can I even fly properly from that side?
I found the First Officer preset and thought okay let’s see how much of a difference it makes. The difference was massive. Keeping the centerline was suddenly way harder.
I figured it might be a bad habit to only fly from the left. What happens when I get into a real sim and I can’t fly properly from the right side?
Maybe it’s not that deep. But it just felt more right to fly on the right since that’s where I’ll actually be sitting in an airliner. So since then I’ve mostly been flying on the right in the sim. Sometimes I fly on the left too though.
