Video: A geocacher walks up to a large metal box on a pole in a grassy area. They open the door of the box to reveal a wooden cover with a geocaching sticker and a hinge attaching it to the bottom of the box. They pull the wooden cover down so it is resting horizontally; a plexiglass display is attached to the other side of the cover with multiple model trains inside. Several parallel tracks are lined with trains, and miniature figurines of people and trees dot the scenery next to the miniature train station. In the box behind where the display was, a plastic tupperware geocache container is visible. Take a look behind the scenes with Joe and the Grand Canyon State Model Railroaders as they piece together their 750 square foot display of trains and scenery representing eras from the 50s to present times. The model railroad display is moving full steam ahead on the days and times below: •Tuesday, March 17: 10 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. •Wednesday, March 18: 10 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. •Thursday, March 19: 10 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. •Friday, March 20: 10 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. •Saturday, March 21: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Model train operators will be on-site to answer questions and show how the model railroad is designed and constructed. my little offering here is nothing compared to the insanely beautiful rendition of the same song by @themichaelmayo and @shaimaestro here it is anyway! this is a simple little solo version of a bit of the masterpiece that is the song “model trains” by @gabrielkahane Gabriel kahane is in my view one of the most wonderful songwriters and musicians ever — that sounds extreme but i genuinely mean it! there have been times when i’ve been so overwhelmed with touring/playing shows/writing/studying that i’ve found it almost impossible to listen to music for my own enjoyment — but not so for gabriel’s music. it’s absolutely gorgeous in every way and never fails to make me cry (in a good way) please please check out this incredible musician! in the meantime here’s my rather more humble offering… his recordings are better 🙃 go buy them! #gabrielkahane #sax #saxophone #solosaxophone #songs

Full steam ahead to an adventure! 🚇 🛤️ Video by dekruijffies. Video: The video opens on a miniature brick train tunnel, with a track stretching out in front of it. The entrance to the tunnel is blocked by a door painted to look like the front of a train engine. A geocacher reaches out and grabs the knob on the door, pulling out a model train onto the tracks. The model train has three cars, and various miniature decorations are placed along the sides of the cars.
