Empowering the Next Generation The spirit of International Women’s Day does not end with a single date on the calendar. Today at NIMAS, we had the wonderful opportunity to host 60 bright young girls from Sharda Mission School. Watching them take on the sport climbing wall with enthusiasm, courage and determination was truly inspiring. Adventure has a beautiful way of building confidence, resilience and leadership and it was heartening to see these young girls stepping forward with such energy. The session ended with tea and a small prize distribution, but the real takeaway was much bigger belief in themselves and the courage to climb higher in life. Moments like these remind us that when girls are given opportunities, they don’t just participate…they lead. #nimas #womeninadventure #empowergirls #sportclimbing #womenleadership

A team from the National Institute of Mountaineering and Adventure Sports (NIMAS) , has successfully scaled a 20,942 feet unnamed and unclimbed peak in the Gorichen range of Arunachal Pradesh Himalayas. The peak was one of the most technically challenging and unexplored summits in the region. The team overcame the challenges including sheer ice walls, crevasses, and a 2-kilometer-long glacier to scale the peak.
