DRGood Evening Gaming Community!!!
While Starfield hasn’t become the breakout new IP that Bethesda Game Studios hyped it up to be, it’s still an enjoyable sci-fi RPG. It does a lot of things right, and a lot of things wrong. Personally, I enjoyed it — I became the most powerful Starborn long before mod support arrived — but I also understand the criticisms and the hesitation many players still have. Even so, the game clearly still has its fans (myself included), and Bethesda hasn’t abandoned it.
The studio is still working on The Elder Scrolls VI, and there are rumors of remasters for Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas. There are also reports claiming a PS5 port is coming in April — but Bethesda has not confirmed or advertised that in any way.
What has been confirmed is that we’re getting Starfield news and an update this week.
Director Todd Howard has tried to manage expectations, making it clear that the upcoming updates are not “Starfield 2.0,” not a reboot, not a remake, and not a Cyberpunk 2077-style revival. Still, he did say players can expect some cool tweaks — and hopefully new story DLC.
Composer Inon Zur recently told RPG Site that Howard is a visionary who “sees things that people will start to find out years later.” Bethesda jokingly responded:
“We ran this by Todd and he said his only visionary power is seeing running lanes in EA College Football 26.”
They added:
“He appreciates all the passionate feedback on Starfield and we’ll have more to share next week.”
That reply was posted on Friday, March 14th, which means the Starfield news drop is happening this week.
We still don’t know what the update includes, but more information is definitely on the way.
Are you excited for the Starfield news this week?
Or is Starfield dead for you at this point?
Let’s talk about it in the comments.
Thank you for reading, have a blessed and amazing rest of the evening and night!!!
