Spent 2 days at Red Hat Summit in Boston-between the harbor views, the AI hype, and the unspoken competition over who can fit more acronyms into a lightning talk. Matt Hicks gave a keynote on AI enhancing human expertise (translation: you’re still writing your own bash scripts), and Chris Wright casually dropped Red Hat’s Neural Magic acquisition. Are we all going to be replaced by inference engines? 👀👇 Intel is launching 100 AI pilots next year…and the official AI slogan? “Any Model. Any Accelerator. Any Cloud.” (Still pending: Any Sleep.) This year’s theme seems to be: automate more, hallucinate less—and maybe, just maybe, survive the cloud-native labyrinth with your sanity and bash history intact.
