I can’t think of a better way to experience the beauty of Oregon’s Tillamook Bay, than onboard a historic train! Here is everything you need to know about taking a ride on the @oregoncoast_scenicrailroad : 🚂 In the summer, the train is pulled by the vintage 100 year-old McCloud River Railroad steam locomotive. During the spring, it is pulled by a historic diesel locomotive. 💺 Guests can choose to ride in the indoor coach or table car, or the outdoor car. 📍The train departs from Garibaldi Beach and travels for 30 minutes along the coast to Rockaway Beach. ☀️ You’ll have 30 minutes to explore the charming coastal town of Rockaway Beach before taking the train back. 💵 Tickets are $32/adults and $24/kids 🕐 Trains depart at 10 am, 12 pm, and 2 pm daily in the summer, but usually run on weekends only in the spring. 🗓️ The scenic train ride is available From March-September. 🍁 Check their website for seasonal train rides, like the St. Patrick’s Pub Train, Easter Extravaganza Train, Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular, Fall Splendor Excursion, and the Candy Cane Express. *DM me and I’ll send you my Oregon Itinerary! #tillamookoregon #visitoregon #oregoncoastscenicrailroad #bestoforegon #oregonexplored

The Trail of Ten Falls at Oregon’s Silver Falls State Park is a seriously epic hike—where else can you see 1️⃣0️⃣ waterfalls in one day?  Here’s how:  👉 You’re gonna want to SAVE this for later 👈 📍Trail of Ten Falls at Silver Falls State Park is just over an hour south of Portland, Oregon 🌳  The hike is a 7.2 miles loop with an elevation gain of 800. I’d say it’s mostly easy with some moderate sections. The moderate parts were mostly stairs! 🗺️ Download a map, so you don’t miss any falls. You’ll find that some require a quick detour off the loop, but it’ll be worth it! 🥾 Wearing hiking boots or shoes with some traction is absolutely recommended. There were a few parts that were slippery due to all the water. Check the weather at the park before you go, it was warm when I went, so no jacket needed (unless you want to be shielded from some of the waterfall spray 😊). 🚙 I recommend parking at South Falls and hiking clockwise for two reasons: There’s lots of parking available, especially if you arrive early. We got there 15 minutes after the park opened and got parking right next to the start of the trail. PS: parking is $5 and you can pay at the machines with a credit card. Going clockwise from the South Falls parking lot will immediately take you down lots of stairs and a slightly steep decline—you won’t want this to be the last section you have to do if you hike counter-clockwise 😅  💦 You can walk BEHIND 4️⃣ of the waterfalls—and it’s the coolest thing EVER!
