One of my favorite parts of pre-proing a film:
Shotlisting! It is the backbone of the film, that helps you and the Director tell the story visually. I love to deep dive into the character’s backstories to really understand their intentions. Here are 3 questions I ask myself when working with a Director:
1. What are the “emotional beats” of the scene that shift the power dynamics?
2. How do I want the audience to feel in that moment?
3. What camera movements will help me tell this story & do we have the budget?

ADBass Proing across America was a dream realized in my tiny fiat pulling a trailer behind it. Starting in LA on a Sunday night I made it to Phoenix but it was 3 am so the next day I started late after some tacos and a home Depot run. Didn't make it to El Paso until after that store closed. I booked a hotel in San Antonio to be near Bass Pro when I got up the next day. Then did the same thing and planned my Baton Rouge stop. I met some really lovely people along the way. if I had a dollar for every funny look I got pulling up to the gas station in pink fuzzy slippers with my vintage penn rod collection hung up in the rake racks it would have paid for my whole trip!
