I know it’s not the same for everyone. For some, it’s milder. For some, it’s much worse. But that’s exactly why we need to talk about it more. Because when we stay quiet, when we keep adjusting, it continues to be treated as “normal.” “if menstrual leave becomes a policy, companies might stop hiring women.” And honestly? I partially agree. Not because women don’t deserve that support, but because it shows how fragile equality still is. That basic support for women can be seen as a disadvantage. But that’s exactly the problem. Why are we adjusting ourselves to fit into a system that was never designed for us? Why not question the system instead? Why not build workplaces that are more flexible, more inclusive, more aware of how different bodies function? A system where taking a day off for your cycle is not seen as a loss. the solution cannot be to ignore women’s needs just to protect their place in the workforce. The solution is to build a system where those needs are respected, i really hope we reach there one day :)
