Avoidant Personality Disorder (AvPD) is a mental health condition characterised by pervasive social inhibition, feelings of inadequacy, and extreme sensitivity to criticism or rejection. Individuals with AvPD avoid social situations, relationships, and occupational opportunities that involve interpersonal interaction due to intense fear of embarrassment or disapproval. They often perceive themselves as socially inept, unappealing, or inferior, leading to chronic isolation and low self-esteem. AvPD typically develops from a combination of genetic predisposition, early childhood experiences (such as rejection or criticism), and psychological factors. #personality #personalitydisorder #avoidant #mentalhealth #psychiatry #psychiatrist

Let's discuss Borderline Personality Disorder. I get a lot of questions from you all about this condition. Unlike mood disorders, BPD is a personality disorder, characterized by emotional dysregulation. Extreme shifts in mood and behavior, with difficulty controlling emotions, are common symptoms. The resulting periods of anger, anxiety, or depression may last a few hours or days. Borderline also tends to be associated with a distorted self-image, as well as rapid and unexplainable changes in values and interests. This may lead to extreme views of people and situations, as seen in black-and-white thinking. Here are some natural strategies that will help individuals with borderline personality disorder: 1. Psychotherapy: As a first line of defense, try approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy or dialectical behavioral therapy. Meanwhile, family therapy can help improve interpersonal relationships. 2. Brain-healthy diet: Eat foods that nourish the brain. Aim for a variety of colorful vegetables, plus healthy fats and lean protein, at every meal. 3. Address allergens: Eliminate sugar, soy, dairy, gluten, corn, artificial dyes, preservatives, and food additives. Avoid toxins: Limit alcohol and other drugs. Avoid stimulants: Limit caffeine. 4. Nutrient supplementation: Ensure intake of important vitamins and minerals, especially omega-3 fatty acids, magnesium, vitamin D, and probiotics. 5. Daily exercise: Physical activity boosts mood and increases blood flow to the brain. 6. Stress-management techniques: To soothe anxiety, try deep breathing, meditation, gentle movement such as yoga, and journaling. Comment other conditions you'd like me to cover.

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is often misunderstood as being “too clean” or “too organized.” OCD has two very different parts: obsessions and compulsions. Obsessions are thoughts. They are intrusive, unwanted, and often disturbing. They don’t feel like something you chose to think they just appear, again and again, creating anxiety and discomfort. Compulsions are behaviors. They are the actions or mental rituals done to reduce that anxiety like checking, washing, repeating or seeking reassurance. These two are not the same. One happens in the mind, the other is what you do because of it. They are connected but they don’t overlap. The difficult part is the cycle: a thought creates anxiety → a behavior reduces it → but only for a while. And then it starts again. OCD is not about liking things a certain way. It’s about feeling stuck between what your mind tells you and what you feel forced to do to quiet it. Attachment styles shape how we connect, love, and respond in relationships. Anxious attachment develops when care feels inconsistent, leading a person to crave closeness, reassurance, and emotional availability while constantly fearing abandonment or rejection. This often shows up as overthinking, emotional sensitivity, and a strong need for validation to feel secure. Avoidant attachment develops when emotional needs are dismissed or unmet, teaching a person to rely on independence, suppress vulnerability, and create distance to feel safe. This can appear as emotional withdrawal, discomfort with intimacy, or minimizing the importance of close relationships. Both anxious and avoidant attachment are protective patterns With awareness, emotional regulation and secure experiences, these patterns can shift toward healthier, more secure connections. paranoid personality disorder (PPD) is a mental disorder characterized by paranoia, and a pervasive, long-standing suspiciousness and generalized mistrust of others. people with this personality disorder may be hypersensitive, easily insulted, and habitually relate to the world by vigilant scanning of the environment for clues or suggestions that may validate their fears or biases. they are eager observers and they often think they are in danger and look for signs and threats of that danger, potentially not appreciating other interpretations or evidence. #opencommission #artmoots #artistsupportartist #arttrend #trendingreels #trend #opencommissionindonesia #indonesianartist #paranoid
