FISir Ian McKellen suggested that he and Elijah Wood will reprise their roles from The Lord of the Rings in the upcoming movie 'The Hunt for Gollum'. "There’s a character in the movie called Frodo and there’s another character called Gandalf,’ McKellen said ‘Apart from that, my lips are sealed."
The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum, directed by and starring Andy Serkis, is currently scheduled to release Dec. 17, 2027. Serkis, who played Gollum in the LOTR films, is directing in addition to playing the beloved monster. The movie is being produced by original LOTR trilogy director Peter Jackson and his partners Fran Walsh and Philippa Boyens.
