Med school admissions is nuanced and your timeline may not fit neatly into this list of dates—and that’s 100% to be expected! ❄️ Dec 2025/Jan 2026 - Take a diagnostic MCAT. - Research what kind of prep you’ll need and create your study plan. - Start researching medical schools. 💕 February 2026 - Continue your MCAT prep. - Begin gathering information and documents for your application. - If you haven’t already, start cultivating relationships with professors/advisors you’ll want to write LORs. 🌦️ Mar/Apr 2026 - If you started studying in December or January, you’re likely aiming for March or April MCAT dates. - Start drafting personal statement. - Start requesting LORs. 🌻 May 2026 - Finalize your personal statement. - AMCAS, TMDSAS, and AACOMAS open in May, but you may not be able to submit immediately. - This is the last month to take the MCAT AND have enough time to retake (if needed) AND apply early. 😎 June 2026 - Submit your primary applications ASAP. - Start pre-writing secondaries.  ☀️ July 2026 - Complete and submit secondaries. 🎒 Aug 2026/Sept 2026 - Start practicing your interview skills as you wait for invites to arrive. 🎃 October 2026 - 💕February 2027 - Make a great impression in your med school interviews. 💐 Spring 2027 - Admissions decisions are trickling in.
