All exercise is important…but this simple move is the most important and it could just save your life.

Ultimately it does not matter how you get up off the floor, as long as you can do at least one way!

This way may look simple but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s easy. You can of course use sofas or chairs to lean on and crawl up if you need to initially.

There are a few ways to get up and down off the floor without using your hands…and this is my preferred option

A lot of people naturally struggle with this simple move, usually because they don’t practice it…but it’s NEVER too late to learn and nail it!

Not being able to get up off the floor after a fall, especially as we age is one of the many reasons older people have to go into a care home….that may seem a long way off for a lot, but honestly, the earlier you can do this the better.
Don’t worry if you need to use your hands at first, while you practice, but you will be chuffed when you nail it hands free!

It may be tricky at first but stick with it and keep practicing.
