SHClimb 2 BASE jump off a electricity pylon in the mist
In the quiet before the jump, with just the sound of birds and sheep, and mist all around, I took it all in before diving into the air.
My mind’s usually all over the place, buzzing with a million thoughts and feelings from the moment I wake up till I crash at night. Relaxing things like watching the TV are difficult, I end up pausing it every few minutes to figure out some random scenario that popped into my head, and eventually, I just turn it off and do something else.
But when I’m out there doing something that could actually kill me if I mess up, my mind goes super quiet. It’s like all those thoughts just stop, and there’s nothing else but the now. It sounds crazy, but these moments are super calming for me, not thrilling, but soothing where the past and future doesn’t matter, just the moment.
