This order includes one confirmed aircraft and options for three more, marking the first commercial contract following nearly 700 Letters of Intent worldwide. The ERA is designed to reduce CO2 emissions by up to 80% compared to traditional regional aircraft. It features eight Safran ENGINeUS electric motors, supported by turbogenerators and battery packs, enabling a range of up to 900 nautical miles and a maximum cruise speed of 300 knots. The aircraft also offers Short Take-Off and Landing capabilities with an 800-meter runway requirement. Scheduled for entry into service by 2030, with a prototype flight planned in 2027, this commitment signals confidence in the ERA program's technical and operational readiness. It offers a maximum structural payload of 13,500 kilograms and a cargo volume of approximately 103 cubic meters, accommodating up to nine standard unit load devices. This makes it suitable for mid-density routes across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
