DRThere’s one small thing you could be doing every day to keep your marriage healthy 👇
Hi 👋 I’m Dr. Tracy, author, couples therapist and psychologist working with couples for nearly two decades. Here’s what I want you to know…
Each day, turn towards your partner.
I like to use the analogy of a jar filled with pebbles. The fuller the jar gets, the stronger the relationship. Seeing your partner’s bid for connection (if you’re not sure what this is, comment BIDS for my podcast episode all about bids) is just one of the ways you drop a pebble into the jar. When we drop a pebble each day into the jar by responding to our partner, it fills up and remains filled.
We can’t just toss in a rock every few months and expect the jar to be full. (The Gottmans talk about making deposits and withdrawals from the love bank).
I want to remind you that you have choices each day in your relationship.
Will you choose to strengthen it by turning towards your partner and putting pebbles into the jar? Or will you choose to ignore your partner and your connection?
If you’re struggling to take those small daily actions in your relationship, I’ve got you covered.
👉 Comment RITUALS and I’ll send you a link to my guide for Daily Rituals & Relationship Check-Ins.
Three exercises each day, actionable for even the busiest couple. You don’t have to let your relationship cool off on the back burner.
