WOOne of the biggest challenges to red wolf recovery is misinformation, especially the belief that people don’t want red wolves back. But new research tells a different story.
A study by Drs. Ben Ghasemi and Jeremey Bruskotter in collaboration with WCC's senior research scientist, Dr. Joseph Hinton, found that people living in areas where red wolves once roamed actually support their return and believe they bring both ecological and societal benefits.
This #WolfAwarenessWeek, we celebrate the positive shift of public opinion in favor of wolves and their role in our nation’s ecosystems and society.
