SMMajid Al Futtaim malls saw a brief dip in foot traffic at the onset of the Middle East war, but quickly rebounded, with some locations outperforming last year.
CEO Ahmed Galal Ismail told CNBC the group delivered record full-year earnings, with net profit surging 41%, driven by strong performance in malls and real estate.
He highlighted supply chain resilience as a key strength, with shelves remaining well-stocked due to strategic reserves and localized sourcing — including 50% of fresh vegetables from the UAE/GCC, 80% of dairy, and 100% of fresh chicken.
Despite ongoing geopolitical risks, the company remains well-positioned.
