Too many talented professionals are watching the AI boom from the sidelines, not because they aren’t qualified, but because nobody has shown them where the door is. Well, that changes today because you follow me and you’re glued into this series. This series is my answer to every DM asking what career to build, what roles are worth chasing, and how to actually get there. Here’s your complete starter action plan: 1. Audit your current skills against real job descriptions. Go to LinkedIn Jobs right now. Search GTM Engineer, RevOps Manager, AI Account Executive. Read at least 5 job descriptions. Highlight every skill you already have. You will be surprised how close you already are. 2. Pick one tool and get dangerous with it this week. Not five tools. One. Clay, HubSpot or Salesforce. Watch tutorials. Try the free version. Build something small, even a basic workflow or a contact list. Doing beats watching every time. 3. Get your AI reps in. Use ChatGPT or Claude every single day this week. For writing, research, planning, problem solving. The goal is fluency. You want to be able to say in an interview, here is exactly how I use AI in my day to day work. 4. Update how you talk about your experience. Pull up your CV and your LinkedIn. Rewrite your bullet points to reflect systems, tools, data and outcomes not just tasks. GTM and RevOps hiring managers are looking for people who think in processes. Show them you do. 5. Start talking about this publicly. Post on LinkedIn about what you’re learning. Share what surprised you. Ask questions in the comments of people already in these roles. Visibility in the right spaces is half the battle. 6. DM three people already doing the role. Not to ask for a job. To ask how they got there. Most people are willing to share their path if you ask thoughtfully. One conversation can shortcut months of guessing. Episode one is live. Many more coming.
