In February, my beautiful mum was diagnosed with terminal Small Cell Lung Cancer and given six months to live.
Here she is today, still fighting, still smiling, still defying every odd.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of everyone who has donated so far, we have been able to give her access to private care, treatments and support that have truly made a difference. We genuinely believe that without this help, she would not still be here today. It is because of the care we have been able to integrate that her body has stayed strong enough to keep fighting such a vicious cancer.
We are continuing to do everything we can to keep her well and give her more time, more laughter, more hugs, and more moments together. Every bit of support goes directly towards her care and means the absolute world to us.
To my amazing clients, thank you for being so patient and understanding when appointments have needed to be moved around. I am navigating the scariest time of my life, the happiest (with my first baby due next month), and somehow the busiest and most successful time too. Your kindness has kept me going through it all.
We are fighting for more days, more memories, more life.

WA3 MONTHS TO DESTROY 80-90% OF SMALL CELL LUNG CANCER BY ECCT
Small-cell lung cancer (SCLC) represents about 15% of all lung cancers and is marked by an exceptionally high proliferative rate and strong early metastasis. 70% are diagnosed in late stage, who have a very poor prognosis with a median survival of only 6-12 months; long-term survival is rare.
With ECCT the cancer can be irradiated by 80-90% within 3-4 months. However, the cancer easily comes back. Continuous usage of ECCT is essential to prevent recurrence. SCLC is strongly associated with exposure to tobacco carcinogens; avoiding smoking helps to prevent the cancer.

CRSmall cell lung cancer (SCLC) is a highly aggressive cancer with limited treatment options. Using CRISPR screening, researchers have identified the enzyme HDAC3 as a novel target to make SCLC cells more sensitive to radiation therapy, a process called radiosensitisation.
The research team showed that reducing HDAC3, both through genetic- and drug-based approaches, increased radiosensitivity in multiple SCLC cell lines. Further studies revealed increased DNA damage and an impaired ability to repair DNA in cells without HDAC3.
Combining HDAC3 inhibition with PARP inhibitors – targeted cancer drugs – showed synergistic effects, and this approach significantly inhibited tumor growth in animal models. Overall, targeting HDAC3 presents a promising strategy for improving SCLC treatment outcomes.
