But when it comes to DSA, quantity is never a priority.
I cracked offers from Microsoft & Walmart, but not by solving 500+ problems.
90% of MNC’S test DSA, yet many fail as they don’t focus on mastering patterns and learning how to think.
So, here are the top 3 mistakes I’ve seen:
📌 Mistake #1: Quantity over Patterns
You don’t need 500+ problems on Leetcode. You need to master 15–20 patterns and know how to apply them.
📌 Mistake #2: Missing What Matters
Brute force is a start, not a solution. Edge cases & optimizations separate good from great.
📌 Mistake #3: Always dry-run
Most people write code → run → pray. Real pros dry run and predict bugs before they compile.
I made all these mistakes early on it cost me time, confidence, and multiple rejections.
