RA“same time next year” trope 🗓️
👉🏼 This is when a couple in a romance book or movie decides to meet one the same day each year
Does anyone else love this trope?? This one is a big hit or miss for me. I love that it is kind of dramatic, creates a sense of longing, and adds to the tension. It’s usually pretty messy but it’s also fun to watch the character growth since the story will span over a longer period of time. Plus, emo romance > romcom. I said what I said! 🤷🏻♀️
I still need to read “One Day” (I’ve been waiting for my hold through the library for foreverrr) but you could also add that one and “This Time Next Year” to the list!
